HADDA

HEALTH ALLIANCE FOR DIGITAL DEVELOPMENT & ACTION
SPIDER’s experience and expertise in Digital Health and the knowledge of key Somali organisations leading change will be combined to create a Health Information Management System, strengthen capacity in Somalia to digitalise health data and produce research evidence that will inform further development of Somalia’s health system.
The health system in Somalia is recovering from conflict, mass human displacement, recurring droughts and floods and extreme poverty. Ongoing insecurity makes it challenging to rebuild, staff and equip health facilities across the country. The Federal Government of Somalia and the Ministry of Health have taken steps to strategically utilise digitalisation in Somalia to improve public health.

SPIDER, in partnership with Federal Government Authorities in Somalia, non-profit organisations, academic institutions and private companies in Somalia will deliver health system strengthening in selected regions in Somalia.  The joint expertise of capacity building organisations, technical teams and evidence collected by researchers will foster the ongoing digitalisation of Somalia.

An integrated HIMS will help to consolidate resources, provide timely health data for decision making and highlight gaps that need to be addressed by various stakeholders.
