Are you attending the Mobile World Congress this week? The event brings together top global companies, governments, tech businesses, and senior executives to exchange ideas on the future of mobile technology. Conversations throughout the week will shape the future of mobile tech.
For SPIDER, working on inclusive digitalization that benefits all, it’s crucial to contribute to these discussions, ensuring that the future of mobile tech is inclusive. SPIDER had the pleasure of being a partner in the EQUALS-EU project, running from 2021 to 2023. Affiliated with EQUALS Global Partnership, EQUALS-EU focused on ensuring gender-inclusive innovation ecosystems through applied research, co-creation activities (hackathons and innovation camps), a mentorship program supporting tech start-ups led by women, and a knowledge exchange activity involving a three-week summer school for co-creation activity winners. Leading the research component, SPIDER contributed expertise in the gender and technology space, producing, among other things, a policy brief.
As EQUALS-EU has concluded its three-year run, the project’s outputs are being integrated into the EQUALS Global Partnership program for sustainable continuity.
EQUALS Global, initiated by Doreen Bogdan Martin, is present at MWC, continuing to champion gender inclusion in discussions about the future of mobile tech. The policy brief is being promoted as a crucial tool for gender-inclusive innovations in mobile tech. Attendees can scan the QR code to download the policy brief. SPIDER is delighted to contribute to discussions about inclusive mobile tech, even in absentia!
